Synergising potentialities

Okay, so now you've potentialised your actualities.

What next?

For innovation to occur you need one final step: synergising those potentialities across the board so as to ensure the harmonious equilibrium of an innovation-centric paradigm.

Synergising potentialities sounds easy - but nothing could be further from the truth.
  • You need to ensure that all the innovation champions are on the same page both figuratively and literally.
  • You need to ensure that the innovation champions are all pulling in the same direction.
  • You need to ensure that your innovation champions have the same goal.
This can be achieved by a checking the baseline to assess the new A:R ratio (which should be 1:0). That will require a new questionnaire, but this time limited to the innovation champions.

If the A:R ratio is not 1:0, or there is discrepancy in vision between the innovation champions, you will likely have to start the process from scratch. In that case, don't despair: it happens to the best of us.

However, if you assess that your baseline is consistent with an innovation-centric paradigm, you can safely conclude that your potentialities have been synergised.

Welcome to your newly innovative workplace!

Of course, that makes it sound too easy: we seem to have cut straight through to conclusion without much effort. The reality is altogether different. The difficulties associated with nurturing an environment where innovation can flourish are largely a function of human nature. (Crumb: 2017)
